 A very comprehensive study of art from ancient times to the twentieth century, covering world art and the leading examples to the search for new standards in the late nineteenth century, and experimental art in the 20^th.

There is no dust jacket, the spine and extremes are slightly sunned, slight fraying to top of spine, one double-sided plate has become detached but is present, a 2cm horizontal split in it’s margin, minor light tanning to some edges, though not all – almost imperceptible. In good condition overall and a very well written book.

Informative and entertaining, a condition not always found in works of this nature!
