LETS FIND ADVENTURE, (A Book For Boys)

 Trevor Henley, Venture Books, 1st 1947.

This is a nice book, with some good, solid, true stories in it. This is how the jacket notes read;

‘ In Let’s Find Adventure the reader searches for the lost explorer, Colonel Fawcett, in the mighty Amazonian jungles; he sails round the world with Captain George Anson, battling against odds and capturing a great treasure ship on the way; he fights a life-and-death struggle with a shark; he races to the South Pole with Captain Scott; he climbs Mount Everest; and dives hundreds of feet to the bottom of the sea in search of a sunken ship’s hoard of gold… One thing that this book proves conclusively; it is that Truth is not only stranger than Fiction; it can also be a great deal more exciting. ’

Apart from the dust jacket having rubs, chips and splits over all it’s edges, especially the spine and split an approximate 3 cm in the front cover board where it meets the spine, (gutter), the book is in good condition with clean pages and tight binding. A nice item for the boy’s adventure shelf
