MODERN MATCH FISHING

A Complete Guide To Methods and Tactics with contributions from the Shakespeare Superteam, Dave King, Pisces soft cover issue 1987.

Some anglers buy books on match fishing which have been written by top well-known match anglers in the hope of discovering their secrets, and by applying them find a shortcut to success. After reading them they feel let down and disappointed because the books do not contain the kind of revelations they were expecting. Often, quite wrongly, they accuse writers of holding back the real secrets, and of cashing in on their names.

The truth is, of course, that there are no secret shortcuts to success. This can only be achieved by hard work and dedication, and by having a full understanding of the fish and their environment, and complete knowledge and mastery of the methods and tactics which need to be employed to catch more of them than their rivals in the allotted time.

This book contains a full breakdown of modern match techniques and their application (at 1987). But most important of all, it provides the key to understanding the principals involved, thus helping the reader to analyse and compare these to his current methods and observations. By doing so he will be able to answer his own questions and be able to develop his own abilities to the full.

The book is in excellent condition, clean and tightly bound. It is illustrated in black and white
