PHASELOCK TECHNIQUES

 Floyd M. Gardner, Wiley, 1966. (1st)

From The Wiley Monograph Series on Electronic Circuits. The material in this book is intended for three groups of practicing engineers who may be confronted with phaselock problems – system designers who build phaselocks circuits, equipment users who specify phaselock performance to their suppliers and who must therefore understand the operation of their equipment. For these readers this book discusses basic principles of phaselock operation, typical practices of phaselock engineering, and selected applications of phaselock to various problems. It is hoped the material will be of interest and value. There are nine chapters here which talk about translation loops, coherent transponders, acquisition and dynamic measurements, mathematical reviews and noise fundamentals. All this is headache material to us mere mortals!

Apart from having no dust jacket, and being slightly cocked, an ink name inscription (neat) on the FEP, there is a frequency response diagram that has had three calibrations completed in tiny biro figures. Other than this, the pages are very clean and the binding is tight. A nice find for anyone who knows what the author is talking about! This is a rare and sought after item.
