THE ROYAL AIR FORCE TODAY AND TOMORROW

Group Captain R.A. Mason, CBE, MA, RAF, Ian Allen 1983.

From the Foreword, by Air Chief Marshal Sir Michael Beetham, ( beat em’?) " Today the challenge of flying remains the same as it was when the aircrew of the Royal Flying Corps and the Royal Naval Air Service flew in the open cockpits of their flimsy machines seventy years ago, (at 1983) In this book, Group Captain Mason looks at the roles and equipment of the Royal Air Force today, reminds us of the distinguished histories of the squadrons, and looks ahead to future challenges and the aircraft and the weapons we will shortly be intruding into the service to meet them."

The book has no dust jacket, is rubbed to a very minor degree on part of it’s top edge, and has a small, light bump to the top tips. The pages are nice, the book is still tightly bound, and is illustrated throughout with some fabulous black and white photographs.
