 A very comprehensive book, one of eight volumes in the series. It has the excellent feature of printed margin references at the sides of some paragraphs, for quick and easy reference, a practically non existent feature nowadays. Twenty two chapters and a wealth of information, including maps.

The paper dust jacket has a large chip at the top of the spine, covering about a quarter of its spine length, with a corresponding arc shaped tear across the top rear. At the front spine base it has a 3-4cm vertical tear and crease. The book itself has miniscule bumps to the board tips (very minor), a slight scar at the top of the fep where a label has been removed and some light and limited foxing to the insides of the covers, front and rear. The book is clean, tightly bound and in good condition
