 Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

 Thomas Nelson

8to, red cloth boards, 375 pages, n/d, probably twenties, cold be earlier, 1st 1903

Conan Doyle’s military story set in the Napoleonic era, as his central character, the military leader, Etienne Gerard reflects on his past adventures.

There is no dust jacket. Slight shelf wear, ink  stain at base of spine and front board, limited to tooling groove. A split at the rear gutter, exposing linen, obviously causing a little slackness in the boards. Two ink name inscriptions inside front cover, one with a line through. Pages clean and tight. Good reader copy
