A book based on Johhny Speight’s successful TV character Alf Garnett, the essence of whom is still contained in the blood of most Englishmen! The book has no dust jacket, rather, pictorial cover boards and is in good condition. An interesting insight into some of the political situations at the time the book was written. There is for instance the paragraph under ‘Punter Harold’, where ‘yer politicians’, sitting up there in Parliament, are getting ‘twenty thousand a year.’ Even today, that would clearly be ten times more than they’re worth!
