This is a book about air battles – crucial air battles – and specifically those which occurred 40 or more years ago during World War 2. Battles are one of the major facets of wars, and wars are one of mankind’s oldest forms of activity.

Air battles can take place as a direct result of what is happening – or is about to happen – on the surface of the globe below, and cannot be understood without reference to such factors.

For this reason a background to each battle has been provided in the text, together with a map of the area over which it was to occur. An extremely interesting and informative book which covers several different theatres of WW2.

Other than for the fact that there is no dust jacket, the book is in good condition. Packed with photographs and some really good background information. As the book is large and heavy, parcel or surface mail might be required.
