This is the ninth edition of the book that is now universally accepted as the classic of modern coarse angling. The type of this new edition has been entirely reset and William Morris’s fish-portraits, which were an enchanting feature of the eighth edition, reappear to embellish the many line and photographic pictures which illustrate the text.

Angling Ways is a big book in the size and number of its pages. It is packed with practical information on how to catch fish and, in comprehensively covering every aspect of the coarse angler’s art, it carries more illustrations than any other book of its kind.

It is no wonder that this book has for years endured as the standard work on the subject, and its recent compete revision and expansion to bring it into line with the very latest trends and techniques  (1963) will ensure that it continues to stand, as ever, in the forefront of the books comprising the coarse angler’s library.

Apart from a few light stains, splits and creases to the dust jacket, and some foxing to an odd page here and there, the book is in good condition. The book has a fairly extensive chapter on fly fishing for coarse fish.
