A book intended for students of coastal geography, this book has 8 chapters dealing with Physical Geography, Waves, Erosion, The Shape of the Coastline, Beaches, Sand Dunes and Salt Marshes, Changes of Level and Tides. This is accompanied by black and white photographs, maps charts and flow diagrams.

This is an ex school library copy but this should not detract from a well written book. The only evidence of this is a small oval library stamp at the top of the inside cover. Apart from slight edge wear to the cover boards (minimal), and light, limited minor foxing here and there, the book is clean and tightly bound. To my way of thinking, this book was written in a style which seems more informative and less complicated than some later examples.
