A lovely soft cover issue by the Nissan Motor Co., covering all the best aspects of Japan and its culture. There are four chapters, A Destiny Drawn by Nature, Traditions and Technology, this chapter looks at Building, Sculpture, Swords, Pottery, Lacquer, Clothing and Paper. The third chapter, Creativity and Consensus has as its themes ‘An Artist’s World, Katsura Imperial Villa, Gardens, Pavilions of Gold and Silver, Noh, Bonsai and Living With Wood, and chapter four is entitled Quality through Harmony.

An excellent book, 119 pp, with very nicely decorated stick-down endpapers. It is in excellent condition and is illustrated in full colour throughout.
