An action packed war story this one, with a frontispiece and three illustrations, all monochrome, the standard of which is in my opinion superb, the work of John De Walton. There is some blacking, perhaps crayon to the front cover board, no dust jacket, and some rubbing to the extremities.

The pages are lovely and clean, with the exception of page 125, on which some charming little person has done a design in blue crayon. This is not heavy however, and the print can be read through it. Another nice little adventure book, from a bygone age
