It would seem that this is an ex – library copy, there is a ‘ patch ‘ at the base of the spine, possibly where something has been attached, and one inside the cover, perhaps where a holder has been fixed, there are also two small sets of figures at the top of the inside cover boards, one in ink, one in pencil

Other than this the book is a nice clean copy. The book is illustrated with black and white photographs and there is a nice portrait of Sir Ralph, pipe in hand, as a frontispiece. Curiously, someone has attached a large sprig of rosemary to this portrait and I would love to know the significance of this. A nice survivor.
