 Keith Middlemass

 Weidenfeld & Nicolson

 8to, 510 pages, 1972

The inside story of appeasement and the origins of World War 2, and a new interpretation – based on all the recently opened archives – of British policy towards Germany, from the start of Chamberlain’s premiership in 1937 to the invasion of Czechoslovakia in March 1939

This is an ex-libris copy, externally a clear cover has been fitted after the dust jacket has received some shelf rub top and bottom and a 2x1 cm chip at the base. Inside, there are stamps on the fly leaf and a possibility that the fep is missing, although this is uncertain. Inside the rear cover is a rectangular stamp and the endpaper is slightly sunned. There are a few lines very lightly underlined in pencil A good reader copy. The book is a scarce and sought after item
