 Another Odhams Press scientific production without the publication year printed in it. This was an irritating feature of these books which are otherwise superb in every way. This one is (I think) either late forties or fifties. One of their greatest assets was the combination of really good technical photographs, close ups of processors and machinery etc., albeit black and white, and the brilliant flow diagrams to explain how raw materials were turned into end products. Added to this is that although the text covers the technical aspects of production it is always clearly written and easy to follow. This is a principle which a lot of today’s technical manuals writers could possibly benefit from.

 The book has no dust jacket (as far as I know they weren’t issued with one). The book is in very good condition. It is rather heavy, so parcel post or surface mail might be a consideration
