 The best description to use on this book is off the Title page itself;

 ‘Being an exposition of The Botanic System, giving a clear and explicit explanation of the Botanic Practice, the cause, cure and prevention of disease, embellished with engravings of the human body and herbs used in the botanic practice.

 A delicious and fascinating book, there isn’t a dust jacket, the gold blocking is still bright and complete, the pages are clean and tightly bound. Very slight (minimal) movement in the boards, an excellent example. The closed page edges are pink, which looks particularly attractive, contrasting as it does with the black boards.
