OF MEN AND PLANTS Maurice Messaugue Weidenfeld and Nicolson 8to, 298 pages, 1972 The autobiography of the world’s most famous plant-healer, translated by Pamela Swinglehurst. Apparently, Maurice Messaugue was famous for his flower, herb and vegetable preparations for the easement and cure of various ailments, and who was consulted and sent for by the rich and famous, including Utrillo, Robert Schuman, Rockefeller, Adenauer, Cocteau, Prince Ali Khan and others. I wonder if he used peat-free compost? The dust jacket has some splits and folds, the worst of which is a 4cm vertical split to the lower front cover. Apart from a slight bump to one tip, the book itself is in very good condition, clean and tightly bound ISBN: 0 297 99495 6 |
