RECOVERY, THE SECOND EFFORT

 Sir Arthur Salter

 Bell

 Medium 8to, 306 pages, 1933 1st

According to the front of the jacket, this is the first cheap edition, with long, new, preface. Sir Arthur Salter’s well respected views on the causes of economic and political crisis in the world at that time, after WW1, but before WW2, and his ideas on reform. Covers armaments, alliances, treaties, security, and reformation and transformation.

The dust jacket is largely intact but is rubbed and has splits at the extremes, and a chip at the top rear, about 1x3cm. There are some ancient (but neat) tape repairs at the top of the jacket. The book has a very slight cock (very minor) and light and limited foxing, mainly confined to inside the covers and the closed page edges. There is a small, neat, ink inscription (1933), and a small, original, rectangular bookshop label. Overall the book is in very good condition, the pages are clean and tightly bound
