GREENPEACE, THE SEAS OF EUROPE, THE BALTIC

Edited by Runeleithe-Eriksen, Collins and Brown 1992.

The Editor was co-ordinator of Greenpeace’s Baltic project for it’s first three years and continues to work closely with it. The project initially focussed on toxic substances contaminating the Baltic, marine ecology, and the nuclear threat to the sea, the campaign is now broadening it’s scope to address the hazards of oil in the Baltic and the complex problems of eutrophication – the effects of too many nutrients reaching the sea. In the Baltic region, Greenpeace has offices in Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Germany, as well as the Soviet Union, and is constantly extending it’s contacts with members of the public, scientists and environmental groups in Poland and the Baltic republics.

Apart from a small chip and some minor creasing to the top of the dust jacket at the spine, slight shelf rub to the rear of the jacket and very slight, almost imperceptible light tanning, mainly to the closed page edges, both the book and the dust jacket are in very good condition
