 George Borrow began his tour of Wales in 1851, kept a journal and wrote this well known account of his travels later.

 There is no dust jacket, a small, neat ownership inscription atop the inside front cover, and again the top of the title page. The spine is faded.  The end papers depict a mermaid blowing a horn. The pages are clean and tight
