GRIFF, THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF TERRY GRIFFITHS

Pelham Books, 1989.

This is the full and fascinating story of Terry Griffiths remarkable life and of a snooker career which started on the tables of his local Llanelli club and over the last thirty years has taken him through the amateur game to his present position as number five in the world professional rankings (at 1989) with the ability to compete for, and win, tens of thousands of pounds in prize money. Terry first picked up a snooker cue in earnest at the age of fourteen but it took him another sixteen years to gain enough confidence to risk turning professional, a decision triumphantly vindicated when he won the World Championship in 1979 at his first attempt.

Apart from a couple of splits and a little light creasing (top rear) at the top and bottom of the dust jacket, and very slight, almost imperceptible light tinting to the page edges, both the book, which is illustrated in black and white, and the dust jacket are in good condition. A good read on another of snooker’s legendary World Champions
