Frederick (‘Eric’) Edward Neuflize Ponsonbby was the tenth Earl. He, writes about the Great House and Park at Stansted, which, we learn, was part of the Forest of Bere in the twelfth century. We go on to learn of the Earls of Arundel, followed by the Lumleys. A well written and absorbing book, illustrated with black and white plates and a map of Stansted Park.
